"Cotton Braid for pet toys"

Cheryl Berthelsen on 5/20/2013 10:25:45 PM

Write your review here:: I volunteer at a no-kill animal shelter. The puppies tear up their toys and pull out stuffing. I suggested cotton rope "octopus" toys as an alternative. 5/16 is the largest diameter of braid you have so I ordered 100 feet. I was able to make a dozen octopus toys with big knot in center. I previously bought 1 inch twisted cotton for puppy toys but the 5/16 cotton braid lasts longer and not so heavy and bulky for our pups. The puppies love them.

"5/16 Solid Braid Rope"

Audrey Ling on 1/25/2013 9:44:18 PM

Write your review here:: This is really terrific rope, and I cut indivual jump ropes for each of two five year olds, a nine-year old and an 11 year old, plus myself. We also tried a long rope where you "jump in". This is the best rope I have come across so far, but my sister and I agree that it should be a bit heavier for more thump, so you can get more of a feel for it through space. I am going to ask Customer Service if it is possible to get it in 1/2 or 3/4 inch, and think it would be perfect then!

"Jump Ropes!"

audrey ling on 12/27/2012 7:13:13 PM

Write your review here:: I was amazed and happy to review the review from the lady who bought this for jump ropes - because this is what I have been searching for - literally for years. Just this morning I was at ACE Hardware, checking out their rope, hoping that maybe they had added something to their line. I, too, remember the beautiful drape and perfect heft of all cotton jump ropes. When I was little and we had summer car trips, I was out the door and skipping rope everytime the car stopped. I have tried all kinds of jump ropes for my own children, I really dislike the ones that are out there. Even the heavier gym type ones with wooden handles - because they are the wrong length, and the handles are so fiddly. Even the jump rope teams have these awful (IMO) plastic sectional ones. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed and and awaiting delivery of ALL COTTON ROPE that will be used for much jumping, I hope! I will score after it has been received and tried.

"Jump Ropes!"

Caryn Cullen on 4/30/2012 9:40:50 AM

Write your review here:: This isn't probably what most people use this for, but I remember when I was in elementary school, we had long pieces of cotton rope that we use for jump ropes. My kids keep coming home from birthday parties and the dentist prize box with crappy plastic handled, light weight jump ropes and within minutes, the handles are cracked and they don't have any weight to them so they won't spin around right. So I ordered 30 feet of this, cut jump ropes to the correct size for each of my 3 girls, taped the ends off with colored duct tape so they wouldn't unravel and voila! 3 great jump ropes for less than $10. I will be ordering more for this purpose so that every kid in our family camp out can have a jump rope just the right size!
