This rope has a 12 strand braided core which is much different from other spliceable arborist 24 strand ropes. Virtually every other 24 strand arborist climb line has a core conducive to splicing, for example, a core with 8 strands and 4 carriers each or 12 strands with 2 carriers each or something like that. Those core designs allow for the cover to be routed back into the core and allows the traditional Class I splice.
